PrepVolleyball has announced their top 17 and 18s team for the 2017 season.

Congratulations to Power 18s on their #4 Ranking and Power 17s on their #32 ranking nationally.

4. “A O” KC Power (Kansas)

The Facts: Nine return for KC Power 18, which finished T-5 in 17 Open a year ago. Setter Madison Lilley is probably the best senior setter in the 18s division. She will dish to tall middles Callie Schwarzenbach and Naomi Hickman and a diverse and capable group of pin hitters that includes Megan Cooney, Megan Kuper, Genna Berg and Lauren StubbsIzzy Enna takes charge of the back row along with high intensity newcomer Emily Day. This is a group, coached by Michael Dauernheim, that should, with good health, contend for a national title.

Anything Else? Want to know what Berg does well? Her dinks are a thing of beauty. And that’s just the tip!

32. KC Power “Surge” (Kansas)

Open qualified a year ago, Craig Berg’s KC Power 17-1 squad is bigger in 2017 and expected to be improved defensively. Marissa Hines returns to set and she’ll have returning talent to find like Logan Gish, Rachel Sturdevant and Annika Welty as well as a couple of new targets in physical 6-2 OH Anna Dixon and thumping lefty Sadie Limback on the right side. Defensively, libero Jaiden Chase has recovered from a nasty concussion to wear the contrasting jersey once again. She and Taylor Kuper, who also can score as an outside, will make ball control one of the team’s biggest assets.
