Examiner Names Genna Berg as Volleyball Player of the Year

KC Power would like to congratulate Genna Berg - P18 - Blue Springs South senior on being named as the Examiners 2016 Volleyball Player of the Year.

She was also named all-state by the Missouri Volleyball Coaches Association, named an honorable mention Under Armour High School All-American and was honored as one of four finalists for the Evelyn Gates Award, which is given to the top high school volleyball player in the metro area on both sides of the state line, after leading Blue Springs South to the Class 4 state quarterfinals.

She set a school record for most kills in a season with 379. She averaged 4.8 kills per set and had a 363 kill percentage. She finished with 22 aces, 44 blocks, 233 digs and set a Jaguar single-season record with 427 total points (aces+kills+blocks) while leading the Jaguars to the greatest year in school history with a 31-4-1 rec0rd and 12-0 in conference.  Congratulations to Genna.
